We came as a group of three friends on a lovely summer evening and enjoyed the relaxing ambiance in the courtyard, the personal and attentive service and the delicious food. It seems Luzerners don't yet consider the Brünig a serious contender for a summer night's dream (there were very few other guests) but, given the restaurant's reputation for its excellent game and winter dishes, I'm sure this will change as the days get shorter – so I'd definitely recommend to make a reservation in advance.
