Ottimo piccolo albergo, buona cucina, possibilità di mezza pensione, colazione super, luogo discosto dai centri e dunque molto tranquillo. Proprietari e personale gentilissimi. Esperienza molto positiva

My stay at Hotel Alpenblick was one of those rare travel experiences that reminds you why you travel in the first place. This was my first visit to Appenzell and Switzerland, and I could not have chosen a better place to stay. The hotel combines stunning views, a peaceful atmosphere, and genuine hospitality that never feels forced. From the moment I arrived until the day I left, I felt welcome and cared for. As someone who worked remotely during my stay, I also appreciated how easy it was to combine work and travel here. The internet was reliable and stable throughout my visit, my room had enough space to comfortably work from, and there were several pleasant alternatives when I wanted a change of scenery, including the terrace and the common areas. What impressed me most was how naturally kind and attentive everyone was. Every interaction felt effortless and sincere. Whether I was asking for hiking advice, returning tired from the mountains, or simply enjoying breakfast, the staff consistently made me feel at home. The restaurant deserves special recognition. I have been fortunate enough to eat in many places during my travels, and the dinners here were exceptional. The chef creates dishes with remarkable balance and creativity. Every course brought something different: warmth, freshness, depth, texture, and unexpected combinations that worked beautifully together. The hotel was also an excellent base for hiking. With easy access to the Appenzell region's spectacular trails, I spent my days exploring mountains and my evenings looking forward to returning to Alpenblick. We had the pleasure of booking 4 nights at Gasthaus Alpenblick in late April. It turned out to be the highlight of our 3 week European vacation. Our room (14) had an incredible view of the mountains and valley. The restaurant had a hearty and delicious breakfast included in the price of the room. The dinner at the restaurant was very perfectly prepared and so tasty - serving local Swiss dishes with the freshest of vegetables and meats! The rooms were spacious and oh so quiet. Beds were comfy. The water pressure in the shower was better than at home! The best part of the stay was the owner Michael and his lovely family! They truly made us feel like a guest in their beautiful home. We cannot wait to return! Service: 5
