I'd suggest going elsewhere and paying a little more. 1. It's far from the city and the buses don't come often and are usually full. 2. There's no concierge, and no TV in the room. Old spring bed with old linen. 3. The bathroom we had was bad - too much to explain. 4. The cleaners aren't any good. The room wasn't clean when we checked in - there was a half finished water bottle in the fridge, which I thought was a pretty simple cleaning task. And each day we were there, we left the sign up to NOT clean the room, but each day they entered while we were out, and they even threw out a bag we were using. The sign is there for a reason, don't go in the room!

15 minutes by bus from Interlaken west. Don't think of walking though. Just besides the bus stop, a comfortable stay.

Went for ice creams: perfunctory presentation, not at all like the menu. Errors on kids' orders (which we placed). Otherwise fine. Went for evening meal: very limited menu. Spring rolls are very basic and massively overpriced. Other meals also overpriced, especially kids options like chicken nuggets. Main meals served across a 15 minute period for 7 people. The food was, at least, very tasty. As for location, Beatenberg is glorious. Just wait for a change of management at the Regina :(
