I recently dined at Rada Beach Ristorante with my wife and, overall, we had a pleasant evening. The waiting staff were professional, attentive, and handled service well. The food was excellent and contributed to an enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, our interaction with Lara, the hostess, significantly detracted from the visit. When she presented the bill, she informed me that a minimum charge had been added because we had not met the required amount. When I simply asked for clarification about the charge, her response was condescending and confrontational. She stated that we had been verbally informed of the policy before we were seated and later insisted it was clearly listed on the menu, presenting the menu in a manner that felt accusatory rather than helpful. I explained that no one had mentioned the minimum earlier in our visit and clarified that I had no objection to paying the amountāmy concern was with the lack of prior communication and the tone of the interaction. Despite this, the exchange remained tense. I calmly suggested that a more composed approach would be appropriate in a customer-facing role, after which she walked away and said the customer not always right. Laraās conduct is a direct reflection of how the owner wishes customers to be treated. I found the lack of courtesy and professional demeanor disappointing, particularly as my wife (who is pregnant) was present. While I appreciate the quality of the food and the service provided by the rest of the team, this experience has left a lasting negative impression. As a result, I will not be recommending the restaurant or returning. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ā¬100+
