The only real Rock Cafe in Kopra, which has its own interesting history. On June 14, 1971, the first Hard Rock Cafe in the world was opened, located in London's Piccadilly, an important street that connects Piccadilly Circus and Hyde Park Corner. It was opened by two young Americans, Isaac Tigrett and Peter Morton, in a place that used to be a Rolls Royce showroom. At first, they rented space for only six months, but the business survived and later expanded. Tigrett and Morton were in their early twenties when they opened the first Hard Rock Cafe (Tigrett was 22 and Morton was 23), and their intention was allegedly to offer American burgers in London. Memorabilia from the history of rock and roll only later became a recognizable part of the decoration of the space in their bar. For example, the famous musician Eric Clapton donated his guitar in 1979 to mark the place where he sat in London's Hard Rock Cafe. The story of Koprivnica is somewhat more modest, but it does not diminish the importance of this place, on the contrary - in the completely impersonal places for going out in Kopriva, Rock Cafe remains real, raw, basic and recognizable. I love drinking beer and coffee in this kind of environment while Neil Young plays softly in the background. Even with years of gathering and socializing in Rok with friends from Gorička and the neighborhood, I can honestly say that my favorite place is in Kopriva because it has a strong character, which is a rarity.
