We were staying at the residence apartment's just next to the restaurant with breakfast also served there also the food is excellent & the service by our young waiter Amas was even better than excellent even though he was there every morning 7 days a week from 7.00am with a break in the afternoon until he returns at 6.00pm until closing time.. The Sea Food Platter For Two Was amazing along with there fresh pasta dishes & there steaks along with great cocktails & wines & bottled beers ....Would Highly recommend...Thanks again. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €25–30

Excellent well managed and looked after local restaurant. Large menu cooked very capably. Located 150 from the large and average Marriott hotel. Reasonable price and well worth the visited. Delight helpful staff. Enjoy we did. Note they also do. 15euro breakfast. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

**UPDATED** So we went to Porto Spalata a year ago and we loved it, except that the mosquitoes were brutal. So we decided to go back and my husband preferred the very same meal, the Tagliata that he loved so much last time. This time he got something totally different, a whole, unsliced steak with huge, crazy, thick cuts is Parm on top and then frozen fries. He was so disappointed, especially because it was 40 Euro! I ordered grilled veggies with chicken breast in gorgonzola and it came all mixed together and it was a salt bomb, I couldn't even finish it. The bread wasn't at all fresh and artisan like last time and it was old this time and we didn't eat any of it. On top of that, the mosquitoes were still there and I've got bites on my legs again! The wait staff was very low energy and not polite at all. They never checked on us and we didn't feel welcome at all. Oh yeah, it's open air so it was hot! We had planned a special night out and we were terribly disappointed by Porto Spalato! Btw, our food was almost €70 and we feel like we've been ripped off. Never again! ------- One of our new favorites!! The food was great! The service was excellent! The atmosphere was wonderful, just remember to bring the mosquito spray because it's close to the water and mosquitoes live in nature with us. One of our top 5 places.
