I cuochi qui preparano curatissimi hamburger e insalate. Alcuni clienti amano il fantastico caffè di questo caffè bar. Dicono che il personale sia attento in questo posto. Rimarrai sicuramente contento del piacevole servizio. Buvette Port Gitana ti dà pasti a prezzi adeguati. Un certo numero di ospiti sono fedeli in questo localeper la calma atmosfera. Su Google questo posto i suoi visitatori hanno dato una valutazione di 4.3.

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the renovated restaurant Buvette Port Gitana in Bellevue, canton of Geneva, Switzerland. recently renovated lakeside restaurant with a beautiful view over Lake Geneva. The terrace offers a stunning panorama, even though there’s a small path and a few trees in front — they actually provide pleasant shade on sunny days. Inside, the place is stylishly decorated, with both a restaurant area and a bar, and it seems there are also hotel rooms available. We only tried desserts and hot drinks, which were excellent. The chocolate fondant served with assorted meringues was perfectly smooth and delicious. Service was very friendly and smiling, though a bit slow at the beginning — we had to remind them of a few items, but they handled everything kindly and professionally. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: CHF 20–30 Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free of charge parking lot Parking: Restaurant parking is on the other side of the car street facing the restaurant

These images and comments are not for the *Buvette* Port Gitana. They are for the restaurant. Completely different things. The restaurant closed forever in 2022. The Buvette is open during the warm months.

I went to the Port Gitana last night for dinner with 3 friends. We were sitting on the terrace and as the storm was brewing, we moved ourselves to the inner, covered terrace. After waiting quite some we ordered apperos... and waited some time again for them to be served. Then we waited for our food order to be taken - a good 30-40 minutes I'd say. We ordered and waited another good 40-45 mintues to be served. I took the filets de perches, which was not exactly 'copious' but it was good. Two of my friends took the steak tartare (entree) which they thought was served with salad - no salad. To be brief, the steak tartare was nothing short of Terrible - it had NO flavour whatsoever, as though the cook simply chopped up the meat (not very well - my friend had to 're-chop' on her plate) and forgot to put in any of the condiments - it was drab and inedible, to the point they both complained to the waiter who simply retorted "Ben, si vous commander Nature, et ben... " and walked off. No one ordered 'nature' they simply ordered a steak tartare which was on the menu (and didn't come with salad). My other friend ordered an entrecote au poivre, a point, which came very 'seignant' but that wasn't so bad, she said the meat was not very good and left half of it on her plate, as my other two friends who didn't finish their steak tartares, after having complained and been given condiments to add - it was shabby service. I had to ask for the salad which came with my filets de perches. In all accounts - a fiasco - we asked to see the manager "no, he's gone home' we jokingly said we would not pay... which went over like a lead balloon; then we asked to have a dessert or pousse café offered by the house, to make up for the simply awful food experience. The waiter said he couldn't do it and ended up giving us a free coffee. In brief, we were all quite scandalized, paid and left with 'uttering "we're Never coming back' to which no one reacted. One of the Worst food experiences in my life. Never going back.
