On our way home from the Markarska Riviera we chose Karlovac for our Stop Over and the owner of our AirBnB Rental suggested Pizzeria Orca. After our stroll to get our body in a flow state after 410 km on our Motorcycle with heavy winds we were very much looking forward to dinner @Orcas. We had the “mali” versions of the pizzas and the portions were huge. Also the pizza was fantastic.. the dough just perfect, the crust crisp, the topping abundant and juicy. Really good pizza. We went for a cola zero and a Karlovačko pivo (crno).. a rarity and an absolute delight. The two jung waitresses served us emotionless and with practically no enthusiasm about their job. I only ate one half of the pizza and asked, if she can wrap it up for take away .. she nodded and just brought me (not very friendly, no smile..) an empty box. The ambience was ok (we sat outside, I have not seen the inside of the restaurant), it was a rather chilly Saturday evening. We asked for the check, the waitress acknowledged our intention but did not come around so my partner (after we waited for 10 minutes) went inside in order to pay as I was already very cold. According to my partner the waitress just said “yes, you can pay inside.” not commenting on that she simply did not show up anymore. We were very satisfied with the food, but my partner was dissatisfied with the service. The pizza: really, really delicious! Price per person: €10–15 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
