una pizza veramente eccellente e un bel locale, ma il servizio troppo, troppo lento, non c'è niente che mi possa far innervosire di più di aspettare 40 minuti per una FOCACCIA BIANCA. Food: 5 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: €10–20

Da romana adoro la pizza sottile, ma questa è pazzesca. Impasto leggero e cornicione che si scioglie in bocca, condimento dí prima qualità. Al ritorno a Cavalese, sarà un piacere tornarci a mangiarla. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Deeply disappointing experience after many visits We have visited Pizzeria Excelsior in Cavalese at least 15 times and always returned with pleasure. That is why this experience was so shocking. At 14:15, we were refused seating, even though the restaurant officially lists its opening hours until 15:00. We were allowed to order pizza only for take away. When the pizzas were ready at 14:30, with 30 minutes still left before closing, we politely promised to eat quickly and leave. Nevertheless, we were strictly forbidden to eat on site. The staff claimed the pizzeria closes at 14:00 while the bar remains open until 15:00. We therefore suggested sitting in the bar, but that was also refused. An open bar where you are not allowed to eat the pizza you just purchased makes no sense. When I tried to discuss this calmly, the staff became openly hostile and even shouted that they “just want to go home at three,” contradicting their earlier claim that this was a decision made by the owner. Despite being long-time returning customers, we were treated like an inconvenience. The pizza may still be good, but service like this completely ruins the experience. After many visits, this was the first time we left feeling unwelcome — and that is something we will not forget. Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €10–20
