Tourist trap. Like others have said, they won’t let you share a pizza. You have to order a pizza per person which I never heard of. Pizza was just okay- doughy and oily. Service was friendly but had to ask multiple times and wait a while before getting the check. Definitely advise going anywhere else. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €10–20 Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

Ordered what i thought was spaghetti with anchovies. Turns out it was spaghetti sprinkled with some anchovy flavoured powder. A woman in a table next to us wanted a pizza to share, the waiter said its not possible each must order a dish. Elderly people cant chug a whole pizza - just nasty. The same with us, we were forced to order drinks with the food. When it came to the bill I asked it 3 times to 2 different waiters, all 3 times the waiter nodded, then did nothing. Started chatting with other waiters, picking up other tables. Had to get up and ask for the bill 25min after asking for it the first time. Overpriced, poor food, lousy service. Our worst experience in the amalfi coast. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I had a disappointing experience at Bar Royal, which felt very much like a tourist trap. First, the name on our receipt was different from what’s listed on Google Maps, simply calling it “Pizza.” We ordered two pizzas because we were told sharing wasn’t allowed, but we weren’t informed of this in advance. It seemed like the servers expected each couple to order separate main dishes, which was frustrating. The pizzas themselves were very doughy and dry, which was a letdown. The fries were the only decent part of the meal To top it off, when my husband went to pay, we were shocked to see a charge of €5 for the Coca-Cola and another €5 for the bottle of water. It made no sense to pay the same amount for water as for a soft drink. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend Bar Royal. It feels more like a tourist trap than a genuine dining experience.
