Bel posticino in pieno centro storico con questa terrazza vista campanile una piccola gemma nascosta fra i palazzi, in piena estate sicuramente troppo calda ma a giugno o settembre è perfetta. Buone le pizze forse ci vorrebbe un pelino di pomodoro in più. Da visitare prenotando prima. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €20–25

I was really looking forward to eating here because the photos of the interior were beautiful. Before my trip to Split, I researched restaurants in advance, and this was the one I was most excited to visit. The pizzas also looked excellent, especially the Burrata pizza. Unfortunately, I was disappointed that, despite nearly a dozen comfortable tables being available, I wasn't allowed to have one because I was dining alone. As a solo traveler, I value having my own table where I can enjoy my meal comfortably and privately rather than sharing with strangers. I hope the restaurant will consider accommodating solo guests in the future, especially during quieter times...

I accidentally ended up visiting Picasso Pizza&Bar because I felt like having something sweet late in the evening after dinner at another place. So while strolling through old Split I walked by it and my eye caught the “Fig cheesecake” on their menu and as I always like to try something new I went for it. The cheesecake itself was I think a no-bake cheesecake. Very creamy and mild with an accentuated lemon taste, which blended very well with the house made Fig syrup and made it an enjoyable experience. I savoured every bite if it and decided to come the day after for breakfast (and to have another slice of the cheesecake ). For breakfast I went with the eggs Benedict with salmon, which was what I would have expected, quite tasty and satisfying as a first meal for the day, followed by the cheesecake, which also didn’t disappoint on the second time. I’m pretty sure that the pizza they serve is also worth a try, unfortunately this time I didn’t have the chance due to time restraint, but will keep it in mind for my second visit to Split. The Picasso Pizza&Bar certainly doesn’t only impress with the food they serve, but also with the friendly staff, which is also very pleasant to chat with. The atmosphere itself is also very nice settled in the heart of old Split, but through the decorations and the ambience it creates it feels like being somewhere entirely different, very colourful and artistic. Definitely worth a visit. Meal type: Brunch Price per person: €20–25 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
