La cortesia e la professionalità del personale ha reso il pranzo tutto speciale. Ottimi consigli nella proposta dei piatti e del bere. All' arrivo dei piatti il bouquet di profumi era eccezionale. Empatia verso la community LGBTQI+ ️‍, libertà di essere se stessi e di scambiare quattro chiacciere in completa tranquillità. We decided to try Ristorante Peperoncino for a special evening in Matera, and the location itself is absolutely stunning. Eating inside a grotto, with the unique stone walls and a cozy, intimate atmosphere, felt like a truly special experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we were charmed by a very friendly dog who added to the homey feel of the place. However, when it came to the food, the experience was a bit of a letdown. We tried to get a taste of local cuisine, ordering the "pucco"—a typical sandwich with salami and special sweet dried peppers—which was fine, but didn't feel worth the price. The real disappointment was a very expensive salad that was mostly just bread, with a few cucumbers and tomatoes thrown in. The quality of the food simply didn't match the very high prices. In the end, we left feeling that the most worthy part of the afternoon was actually the walk inside the beautiful sassi before and after dinner. That incredible atmosphere, which is free to explore, was a far more memorable and valuable experience than the very expensive and underwhelming meal we had. It's a gorgeous setting with a lovely staff, but for the price, the food left a lot to be desired.
