The main reason for not giving a higher rating is inconsistency. Sometimes there is a nice pub atmosphere, other times less so. Same with the staff - sometimes friendly, sometimes not so much. If you just want to have a couple of pints or watch football, it's not a bad option. The last couple of times I was there, the food was downright bad, so unfortunately I can't really recommend eating there. Also, since the reboot, they have reduced the beer selection - probably for practical reasons if they were not selling, but I do miss a few of the beers they used to have that are harder to find on tap in Switzerland (Tuborg and Tetley's for example). Now they just have more or less the same beers as every Swiss pub, too bad. Still, it is nice to have a pub in Aarau that shows Premier League and it's very convenient for the train station. The potential is however not fully realized in my opinion. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

The Penny Farthing is now NEW just not THE PENNY, why? Because is a new owner. Personally, I'm not in it much, maybe go in once every 3 months. When I went in today, I noticed a big change. The sidebar was completely removed, but a large area. I think it's good, this site was rarely used in the past. Prices are ok! Service is ok too! Outside should be renewed a bit, the tables look very musty from the rain. I can recommend Charlie's kitchen, everything is very fine. There is always a good atmosphere at football games and Super Fc Aarau fans. Vegetarian options: Virtually no vegetarian dishes Parking: Has about 10 paid parking spaces. Policewomen like to make buses there. Free parking at the back Kid-friendliness: Rather not suitable for children. It could get wilder in the evening or at night. Wheelchair accessibility: Outside Yes, inside is not possible. Price per person: CHF 20–30 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Burger Parking space Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options Free parking lot, Paid parking lot
