If you’re in the general vicinity of Sargans, I definitely recommend the detour.
There are three sauces offered per day to accompany the fresh pasta. We had the herbed white wine sauce, and the tomato sauce. The pasta was cooked to perfection, just enough bite. And the sauces, oh the sauces! No words could do them justice. They were simply delicious.
Also of note are the delicious gelatos, made fresh on the premises as well. I highly recommend getting a hot chocolate, too. It’s served milky and frothy.
If you have a chance, you can even buy some fresh pasta to take home. I was highly tempted by the saffron pasta. Oh, and buy some home-made preserves while you’re at it. It’s always good to have locally made, delicious food while on holiday - especially after a difficult day of navigating the rail system when there’s bad weather making delays.
But trust me. Go to Peer Pasta Lounge. Your problems will fade away.
