This cafe offers very high-quality coffee. The owner has abundant knowledge of coffee, making this cafe distinctive. Cake and chocolate are also nice. Highly recommended Service: Dine in Meal type: Other Price per person: CHF 10–20

Long story short: "Complete your visit in the old town of Stein am Rhein with a great espresso at this small coffee bar" As a coffee lover, I was looking for a small coffee roaster, dedicated to the product. Surprisingly, PATAP offers a vast amount of bean variations in their web shop and also sells some of them in the coffee bar. Their taste segmentation in the web shop supported me a lot to find my expected taste/flavor. While dropping by, I met owner Frank. Thanks a lot for your enthusiastic discussion about coffee. Exactly!! the kind of dedication I was looking for. I bought some "APAS" Arabica Espresso and received a complimentary bag of "Payamino" Canephora. Both are more on the dark(er) roast side, but appear visually silk-smooth without any oily, glossy surface. Taste is individual, but totally matched my expectation. For sure, I'll buy more when I need more, and I promise to keep an eye on specific updates on their web page / insta. xD I'm using hand levers to have a manual feedback (La Pavoni and Superkop) and grinding with Eureka Mignon on almost finest levels. The Apas came well on fineness 1.5 and Payamino on 1. Service: Takeaway Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
