The food was OK. The service was professional and friendly. The restaurant has a great vibe, cozy but stylish with lots of interesting touches. However, it wasn't ideal that we had to pay cash. They said the machine broke, but it seems this has been the case for a long time based on previous comments. Not cool. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CHF 20–30 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

We had a very disappointing and uncomfortable experience at this restaurant. At first, the waiter seemed friendly, but things quickly took a strange turn. The place had a very unpleasant and strong fishy smell, which was off-putting from the moment we walked in. While seated, we checked some reviews and noticed recurring complaints about payment issues. Sure enough, when we asked, the waiter admitted their card machine wasn’t working — something they failed to mention upfront. Instead, he told us to go to a nearby ATM to withdraw cash. None of us had cash on hand, and we were not going to walk out to an ATM and pay fees because of the restaurant’s lack of transparency. We politely explained we would be leaving, and the waiter began insisting the ATM was nearby, offering to pay the commission fees himself — which felt strange. Then he suddenly said he could call his boss to bring a working card machine, which raised even more questions. Why not mention that from the start? As we were trying to leave, we asked — out of courtesy — if there was anything to pay, even though we hadn’t consumed anything. After hesitating, the waiter suddenly claimed we owed 5 CHF per person for the reservation. We were 6 people, so he took 30 CHF. Right after, he followed us up the street, again saying his boss could bring the card machine in 20 minutes. We declined firmly. To top it off, he marked us as a "no-show" on La Fourchette, despite us clearly being there and offering to settle things respectfully. Not recommended at all. The whole experience felt dishonest and uncomfortable. The smell was bad, the service unprofessional, and the payment situation shady. There are plenty of better, more trustworthy places in Geneva.
