When one is at a crossroads in life, it is always helpful to seek out pearls of wisdom. For me, those pearls are better off when made with tapioca and brown sugar! On a hunt for a new bubble tea place in my hometown (Geneva), I visited Mon Tea (Rue de la Confédération 8, 1204 Genève, Switzerland). A Chinese concept adapted to Swiss quality, Mon Tea specialises in fresh bubble tea, with the tapioca pearls made on site every day! When I went there, I ordered the matcha latte and the taro latte (both with pearls). Despite not tasting very strongly of taro, the latte was sweet and creamy, creating a comforting and indulgent beverage. The matcha latte - blending seamlessly with creamy milk over ice, the velvety matcha was earthy and delicious, providing me with a much-needed pick-me-up that went well with the tapioca pearls. What made our experience at Mon Tea even better were the adorable merchandise and designs - a 'retrouvaille' with my friend after 4 years was made even better with the bubbly ambience and the delicious beverages.
