My favorite place in Geneve, perfectly located in the old town and have a great menu! They have plenty of options even when you are glutenfree. The large terrace is great with nice weather, but also really enjoy the corner tables inside. Meal type: Brunch Price per person: CHF 30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and vegetarian options

I came for brunch. The coffee was a light filter and a bit too mild for my taste, but the French toast was incredible perfectly balanced, not too sweet or soggy. I’d love to come back to try the lunch menu the salads look great. Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

My recent visit to Marcel Vieille-Ville left me with mixed feelings, though unfortunately the negatives outweighed the positives. The food was decent but unremarkable - I’d rate it a solid 3 out of 5. The dishes were prepared competently and arrived at a reasonable temperature, but nothing stood out as particularly memorable or exceptional for the price point. The real issue was the inconsistent and unprofessional service. While some staff members were genuinely welcoming and attentive, others were shockingly rude and dismissive. This kind of uneven service creates an uncomfortable dining atmosphere where you’re never quite sure what to expect. The final straw came when our waitress accidentally spilled ketchup on my clothes. Accidents happen - I completely understand that. What was unacceptable was her complete lack of acknowledgment or apology. She didn’t offer to help clean it up, didn’t bring tissues, and didn’t even seem to notice or care about the mishap. This level of indifference toward customers is simply unprofessional. Hi Hassan, Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We’re truly sorry that your visit to Marcel Vieille-Ville was marred by several unfortunate incidents. After checking with our team, we acknowledge that there were a few service errors during your meal. The kitchen mistakenly prepared your dish with bacon and had to redo it. Additionally, two accidents occurred during service — ketchup and fries were accidentally spilled — and our team members did sincerely apologize at the time and felt very uncomfortable about the situation. It’s a real shame there wasn’t an open dialogue while you were still with us, especially since the owner was on site and would have been more than happy to address your concerns in person. That said, we completely understand that your experience fell short, and we sincerely apologize if our efforts to correct things in the moment didn’t come through as they should have.
