The food makes you fell like a piece of the Coast of Ecuador is right there in Lausanne I came here three times, and I particularly recommend the guatita, ceviche, and the bandera (which combines these 2 and seco de carne in the same dish). Pan de yuca feels homemade with their own special touch, and getting a coconut or maracuya juice (with milk) makes a great addition just as if you were eating at home. The sides like avocado, patacones and maduro (salty and sweet plantanes) never disappoint, and the aji (spicy sauce) is just as one you could expect from home I have 2 crticisms as someone that comes from Guayaquil: I think that seco de carne is not always made the exact same way for the different occasions that I tried it (this is not necessarily a bad thing). Additionally, the flavor and presentation of this dish fits more what I call a "bistec de carne" rather than traditional seco de carne, mostly because seco should come with plenty of sauce from the stew. With that said, the seasoning and enjoyment that you get from this "bistec de carne" sends me home every time, and it remains as one of my preferred options. The seco de pollo is great, but their version of this dish hits me slightly different from what I am used to, I think it should be be more sour and fruity, but at this point I am just nit-picking and this is my personal preference Recomendado! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: CHF 30–40 Vegetarian options: I would think that ecuadorian food is rarely vegetarian, but if you can eat seafood, you will enjoy the ceviche
