Café & Restaurant Lvxor

Café & Restaurant Lvxor has stood on Peristil, the central courtyard of Diocletian's Palace, since March 1986. The interior dates to 1941 and holds Croatia's highest grade of monument protection, so it has never been altered.

Live music plays on the square every evening from 1 April to 31 October, and on Friday and Saturday from 1 November to 31 March, from 8pm to 11pm. There is no stage. The musicians sit on the same stone steps as the audience, with the cathedral bell tower behind them. What gets played depends on who is on that evening: acoustic world music and old standards from one, pop, soul and R&B from another.

Seating on the square is cushions on the Roman steps, where the service is drinks, pizza and starters. The full menu is served indoors, where the kitchen runs until 11.30pm. The wine list carries nineteen Croatian wines. Peristil is reached by steps and there is no level access.

Open daily from 8am to midnight.
