Locale davvero caratteristico nel Borgo Vichese, comodo per arrivarci comunque con una piccola camminata a piedi. Tavoli esterni con vista dall'alto. Servizio qualificato, piatti ricercati con materiale prima della stagione specie i prodotti prese ti sul territorio. Dagli antipasti ai dolci, passando per primi e secondi tutto davvero prelevato e a prezzi davvero interessanti. Buona offerta vini sempre territoriale. Liquori di produzione propria, davvero complimenti per qualità e quantità. I went there with my girlfriend at the beginning of August (after reading and hearing good things about it, with the excuse of visiting the town during a weekend holiday on the Gargano). Quiet evening, with few people (being during the week) and a room / garden that looks quite good to the eye. But the positive notes stop at the location, because on the rest it is better to spread a pitiful veil !!! Starting from the invasion of "winged ants" and other insects in external spaces (probably due both to the climatic period and to a clear lack of suitable treatments in external environments to contrast this situation), which insects were particularly attracted by lights and they stormed the tables and whoever sat there... And after a few minutes, especially noting the disappointment from other customers as well, the owners and waiters found themselves forced to turn off almost all the external lights, making most of the people dine in the dark and with the tables lit only by small candles/ lanterns which, however, have solved the problem little or not at all... (and no, don't think about the "candlelight" effect because it seemed more like a makeshift lighting situation during a camping evening gone wrong). The fact is that insects or not on the plate (unfortunately), the company was not worth the expense: The dishes seem well presented both in the menu and in the description given by the waiters and consequently also in the idea that one has about what their appearance and taste would be like, but then when they arrive and you savor them, they are not all much and above all the portions were really skimpy (in addition to having noted that many things on the menu were described in an "ambiguous" way given that it was not specified whether, for example, there was only one meatball on the plate or more than one and not even the waiters said nothing about it, always strategically speaking "in the plural")... I certainly didn't expect a Trattoria treatment and relative abundant portions, but neither did I expect the T-Rex arm from those who were in charge of preparing the dishes, with attention to detail in appearance but in substance they were literally "all smoke and no roast" . And charging around twenty euros just for 5 ravioli counted on the plate (quite small on the other hand), really seems like theft to me, without adding and commenting on the quality/quantity/price ratio with regard to the other first courses and second courses ordered. The fact is that my girlfriend and I left still hungry, disappointed and "bleeded out" for having paid almost 100 round and round, just for having taken 1 Meatball (almost invisible and paid handsomely, that with that money one would have could have paid for a giant pizza) + 2 First Courses + 1 Second Course (divided between me and my girlfriend) + 1 bottle of sparkling water ... and not a bottle of wine or other spirits that could have justified such a disproportionate price. And then at the checkout they didn't remove even the 50 cents present in the total value... even if, given how the evening had gone, it would have been more appreciated to show understanding and apologies towards us, making a discount of at least 2/3€ of courtesy on the Total (especially in light of the discomfort caused by the insects and the "carelessness/carelessness" of the owners regarding this issue, in particular by the guy dressed in a Hawaiian shirt who delighted in playing the peacock/buffoon while serving drinks at the tables, giving many "dear" and "dear" to the people, surrounding everything with circumstantial cordiality but then paying great attention that everything was paid to him down to the last penny, not caring about everything else instead) !!! If you think that the possible expensive national prices justify the "disproportionate" prices of this place, you are very wrong ... and I think that this place goes on only "getting by", resting on its laurels of what was once the any quality that may have once been provided.
