'MICKEY MICKEY!'I first discovered my fave bar in the beautiful idyllic Tisno in 2014.2014 was my first experience of the outdoor clubbing abroad at ‘The Garden’ staying off the festival site in Tisno, I wanted to find a bar where I could ‘chill out’ before hitting the festival site early afternoon.This bar ticks all my boxes – perfect location just yards from the beach with a delightful view of the town.You can sit back with ice cold beer and absorb everything that makes for me the perfect holiday experience.Very open aspect perfect for the guaranteed sunshine, with an 'catwalk' entrance, a path leads directly from the beach past the iconic ‘Loca Villa’ Surf Board, then up some wooden steps to greet you with plenty of seats and very in-expensive bar.But there is so much more that makes this bar so special, the bar staff are wonderful and the owner Josip Barić always greets me with ‘Mickey Mickey!’ I just LOVE the music! Sometimes it will be a You Tube Playlist and quite often I will make requests for Disco, Frankie Knuckles or Larry Lavan. Quite often there will be DJ Zoran Čubrić playing from noon till close, and on occasion International DJ’s from the festival will spin the decks!The MUSIC just sets me off and for three years now I just can’t resist dancing myself crazy in the bar around the bar on the ‘catwalk’ on the beach and even on occasion I will strut my stuff on the long jetty wall which more often will see me take a running jump dive into the lovely warm sea.Over the years the lovely local people have made me feel so welcome, I now seem to be quite well known in Tisno – no idea why as I prefer to keep things low key and not to draw attention to myself – the photos here will give you the idea – for some reason it does not seem to work, maybe I am too overdressed?I have so many happy memories of Loca Villa, a particular highlight was 2016 I had been outdoor clubbing from 12 noon until 6am and had just been dropped off after yet another Barbarellas Discoteque perfection experience.My route to the apartment would take me past Loca Villa and as I approached became aware of guys singing heartily and thought it is nearly 7am and how cool. Sure enough there was a group at Loca Villa, recognizing me the bar owner beckoned me over – ‘hey Mickey it’s my Birthday come join us.’I felt very humbled to be with this ensemble all singing traditional songs, this made me feel accepted.My annual clubbing pilgrimage would not be complete without Loca Villa, and thank-you to the lovely locals in Tisno for making me feel so welcome and safe.Tisno Loca Villa – Tisno The Garden and Barbarellas Discoteque combined with all the International and Croatian elements is my ultimate Clubbing Paradise.Loca Villa watch ‘OUT’ I will be returning soon for my annual clubbing visit ( twice in 2017 ) there is no other destination.
