This tiny restaurant in a cellar in a medieval town is lovingly run by Giovanni and Celia. The minute you enter Le Cantine you are embraced by warmth and whimsical decor and lighting. The multi-level restaurant is intimate, necessarily so, given the staff of two. But you always feel well attended. Giovanni is spot on for service and attention to detail. The food is locally sourced and hand made when possible. The house wine is locally sourced and some of the best we've had in Tuscany. This restaurant is the possibly the most magical place in an impossibly old town, in the most delicious region of Italy and it shines above all. Reservations are required. You must park and walk approximately 400 meters to the restaurant, in some cases, up a hill. Come hungry! The portions are generous and you'll want to save room for dessert and homemade crema di liquore al pistacchio! The dinner prepared by the owners was an unforgettable experience. We had the opportunity to try traditional regional Italian dishes in the best style. Everything - from appetizers to dessert was delicious, and we were served good quality wine.There was also a meal option for vegetarians. The restaurant is located in an old stone house, which additionally creates an unforgettable atmosphere. At the end, we were treated to delicious liqueurs. It is worth visiting this restaurant and feeling Italian hospitality. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
