We had originally booked another restaurant for dinner, but as we walked past this one, we were immediately drawn in by the enticing dishes displayed on their menu and the remarkably reasonable prices. The proprietress greeted us with great warmth, even though we explained that we were looking for a table six hours later. She still graciously handed each of us a full menu. After studying it carefully, we told her that we would return for dinner that evening, and subsequently cancelled our original reservation. Naturally, we kept our word and returned to dine at Le Blason. Aside from our drinks, we ordered two dishes: the Parisian rib‑eye steak served on hot stone, and the seafood tagliatelle. Both portions were generous, and the flavours and temperature of the dishes left our whole party thoroughly satisfied. Let me begin with the Parisian rib‑eye on hot stone. Although I am someone who eats and adores steak regularly, this one has become the most memorable I have tasted in the past decade. The meat was exceptionally fresh; even once seared, every bite revealed a vitality within the fibres, as though the animal had only just been butchered. The richness of the beef, the fragrance of its fat, and the sheer depth of flavour lingered long after each mouthful. This was not the sort of complexity one finds in a typical dry‑aged steak. Although the menu stated a weight of 200 grams, my years of dining and buying experience tell me that what was served was easily over 300 grams. It spoke volumes about the restaurant’s generosity and sincerity. The accompanying chips were wonderfully crisp, clearly fried in fresh oil. What surprised me most, however, was the pepper sauce. Made from whole peppercorns, its aroma and gentle heat had been fully infused into the sauce, elevating every bite of the steak. Despite the steak’s size, the thin volcanic stone retained enough heat for me to savour each piece piping hot. It is for this very reason that I am writing a review on this platform for the first time. As for the seafood tagliatelle, the portion was equally generous, and every bite was brimming with freshness. The flavourful pasta, paired with large prawns, small prawns, and fresh clams, made for one of the most satisfying and enjoyable seafood dishes I have had in a long time. Finally, as we were already quite full, we ordered just one tiramisu to share between the two of us. Yet after tasting their house‑made tiramisu, we could not help but admire the chef’s meticulous attention to detail. Just before paying the bill, we decided to cancel our reservation at another restaurant for the following evening. Before the end of our trip, we wished to return here once more for a final dinner that we knew we would remember for a long time. As we settled the bill, we received the confirmation email from the booking platform, and we left the restaurant with great anticipation, knowing that we would be returning the next evening for another splendid feast. As for the price, it was almost unbelievable: a sizzling, flavourful Parisian rib‑eye on hot stone, a vibrant and delicious seafood tagliatelle, a freshly made tiramisu, and two Swiss‑made colas — all for a total of 39 Swiss francs for two people, thanks to the half‑price offer jointly provided by the booking platform and the restaurant.
