WOW! Without a doubt, one of, if not the best dining experience I've ever had! After making a reservation I was contacted on Whatsapp informing us of the taxi boat pickup time and location. Once we arrived at the restaurant the atmosphere was serene. Beautiful Croatian sun to the west, waves crashing on the wall below, all accompanied by the softest piano music. The food was absolutely incredible from start to finish. You can tell that the chef and the owners are extremely passionate about dalmatian cuisine. Every single bite was expertly crafted using the finest local ingredients. The service, was second to none. We had three waiters bring us our main courses placing each dish in synchronicity. They truly made us feel so special. Once we had finished our meal the staff arranged a time of our choosing to head back. Whilst waiting we enjoyed a stroll down the island coastal path and took some lovely photos. Absolutely incredible! Thank you so much for the wonderful experience. My family and I visited Lazaret Restaurant last night. We were brought to the restaurant “James Bond” style in their boat, which picked us up In Preko. Needless to say, the short boat ride was very pleasant but the atmosphere, elegant food and excellent service was 5-star. This restaurant is for people who appreciate food, style and fine dining. Because you’re on an island, you see people dressed casually, but elegantly even in their casual clothes but we were dressed better and felt it respected the restaurant. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

If you're near Zadar or Ugljan, don’t miss the culinary gem that is Restaurant Lazaret on the tiny island of Ošljak. Our adventure began with a quick phone reservation and a speedy boat ride that whisked us to this charming, secluded spot. Fun fact: Ošljak is the smallest inhabited island in the Adriatic and Croatia! The moment we arrived, we were greeted by professional and welcoming staff who promptly seated us. Starters: Swordfish Carpaccio: Our favorite Sea Urchin with Marinated Langoustines Crispy Spring Roll We also enjoyed an amuse-bouche of cheese, beetroot, and a crispy taco that set the tone for the delicious meal ahead. Main Courses: Shrimp Salad Beef Steak with Truffles: Seeing a whole truffle shaved at the table was a highlight, and the taste was phenomenal. Beefsteak in Port Wine Aged Sea Bass Fillet in Langoustine Sauce: Delicately balanced and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Desserts: Peach Mousse: Light, refreshing, and the ideal summer dessert. Smokva Aromatique: A unique Dalmatian dessert with phyllo pastry and cinnamon. As we dined, we enjoyed a stunning sunset over Ugljan, making the evening even more special. Restaurant Lazaret is a must-visit for anyone in Zadar or Ugljan looking for a fine dining experience.
