We’ve been tourists in Pirovac for over a week and spent about €200 at this bakery so far.. This morning my husband and I made our usually stop, we were third in line. When customer in front of us left the morning lady said “izvoli te” but made no eye contact and then went to the back. When she returned she to the front she said it again we were about to speak and she angrily turns to the local and says “Izvolite, izvolite, moram ih čekati 5 sati. Što biste željeli?” What the bakery worker did not know - although my ability to speak Croatian is limited and I may hesitate a little I do understand it very well. And I told her that I knew exactly what she said. The local was taken aback. Maybe a little more patience with customers paying big money, even if we are tourists. I don’t mind that she helped the local who only bought one item and was much quicker than we were. But keep in mind, while we are enjoying this beautiful country we are learning your language along the way. And some of come from Croatia but have grown up in another country but may have relatives that actually live in your town. I did not purchase any items today. And I will skip your establishment the rest of the week. Sorry I made you wait “5 hours” to place my order when there was literally no line..Dobar Dan. Side note; The bakery items have been delicious and we had looked forward to our daily purchases. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
