Rather small, inconspicuous Thai restaurant in the Bruchquartier. Our family ended up here when we were looking for an authentic Thai restaurant that wasn't overpriced. As far as I remember, the restaurant is run by a married couple. He (Swiss) takes care of the service and she (Thai) takes care of the kitchen. The duo and the rest of the team work very well together. The restaurant itself is rather small, a little cramped but there is a pleasant atmosphere. Service is top. Quick, error-free and all questions about the menu are happy to be answered. The food was very tasty and beautifully prepared. If you wish, you can also cook authentically spicy dishes. You can tell that there is someone at work here who understands the cuisine and has grown up with it. Some tastes can be unusual for people who haven't eaten Thai much, but for us it was perfect. The toilets were clean, like the rest of the restaurant. There is also no unpleasant smell from the kitchen in the dining room, which I have often experienced in Asian restaurants. The whole thing was rounded off by a fair, good price. On some days a reservation is recommended. The evening was a highlight and I can absolutely recommend Thai Lanna.
