We visited this local cafe twice during our visit. Their coffee was very nice and piping hot and their Avacado toast with egg was delicious. I also had their croissants and they were buttery, flaky, delicious... The siting area is small but comfortable, the outside area by the river looks very inviting but it was too cold for us to sit outside when we visited. Would recommend to anyone looking for a smaller option with less tourists (besides us, of course : )

This sweet cafe is right along the river. The avocado toast was so yummy and had a balsamic glaze that I never would have thought to add. My kids devoured their bread and homemade jam and yogurt parfaits. Highly recommend!

Absolutely adorable breakfast and lunch spot that is from the same owners of Bed and Bar No. 8 (nearby hotel/hostel). You get this gorgeous view of the lake and mountains that can't be beat! No matter where you sit here, it's so relaxing and calm. You can truly relax and enjoy the view here. My friend and I ordered this frauline breakfast that came with cheese, meat, fruits, bread, and croissants. We saw a group of four girls share this, but my friend and I between the two of us did our best to devour the spread! Their hot chocolate is probably the best I had on my entire Europe tour, and I had a cup of this every morning no matter where we went. The presentation is great and the service is friendly. There are many drink options. Their menu is cool because there's a note on the front that basically says anything there is for sale from the seat you're sitting on to a random item you might find. The establishment's style is clear and clean. So comforting! You can also buy things inside the shop like coffee table books, candles, blankets, and other items that really emphasize how cozy LadeLokal is. I love it here and it was very much in the style of Bed & Bar No. 8. Interlaken has to be one of my favorite stops on my Europe trip and I would definitely come back to LadeLokal for both the food and the view.
