The cook is exceptionally talented (and very nice). All the Spanish tapas were really excellent. Note that it is a small place and doesn't have many tables, so reserve ahead or go early. Also only takes cash or Twint. Less than ten minutes walk from the Fribourg train station. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CHF 40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

This secluded “hole in the wall” eatery will give you the most authentic Spanish atmosphere of any tapas bar in Spain. The ambience is cozy, warm and welcoming. Only two ladies are in charge of this restaurant, one preparing the food and the second serving. We had a 7-course menu that was created as per our individual tastes and desires. An unforgettable experience for someone who lived 1 month in Madrid last year. If you want a taste of real Spain in the center of Fribourg, you have to check Solé and Mercedes! Two of them will spoil you to the max!!! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CHF 40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: Everything can be made to order, so vegetarians should not worry!

I've been to "La Tapería" twice and LOVE the place, how Ana welcomed us, the food and the wines. We had bomba toledana, pulpe à la galicienne and carcamusa de Tolède: everything was amazingly delicious! Can't wait to get back and try the paella (you must request it in advance calling her). Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
