Title: An exceptional taste experience but a service that disappoints. By reserving in this restaurant crowned with 15 Gault & Millau toques, we were looking forward to experiencing an exceptional evening. If the dishes were absolutely exquisite and lived up to their reputation, the service, for its part, spoiled the experience. Upon arrival, the welcome was frosty: no smiles, no warm words, and even putting our jackets away seemed like an insurmountable effort. A disappointing start that continued throughout the evening. At the table, although the cooking was a real pleasure, the service did not follow suit. Unfriendly, disorganized, and sometimes even condescending, especially when it came to food allergies reported in advance - which were greeted with incomprehensible weariness. This lack of consideration did not fail to tarnish the pleasure of the meal. The icing on the cake came at the bill: the food and wine pairing was charged for our two minor children, without any prior information. We didn’t ask for anything, but the “commercial gesture” – free digestives – seemed very meager compared to a four-figure bill. At what time and by what right can we charge for a food and wine pairing when it has not been consumed or ordered!!! Trying to pass it off as acceptable and normal. Shameful and unworthy of such a place and such prices! To end this regrettable experience, we left in general indifference, without a word of thanks, nor even a visit from the chef, who could have made this evening sublime. In summary, excellent cuisine but service unworthy of an establishment of this standard. An experience that leaves a bitter taste despite the pleasure of the dishes. We were there to celebrate an important event. We will remember this evening for a long time, unfortunately not for the right reasons. We will not come back, that’s an absolute certainty!
