The perfect hideaway spot. Delicious food and drinks, a friendly staff, and a great atmosphere. Surprisingly not as expensive as similar establishments in the Geneva area. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

La Guinguette pays homage to the legacy of Alice and William Favre, the generous benefactors who donated Parc de la Grange to the city of Geneva. The café sits on Avenue Alice-et-William-Favre, named in their honor. According to local stories, the Favre family loved hosting garden gatherings at their villa (now part of the park grounds), where friends and locals would come together for music and conversation. In keeping with this spirit, La Guinguette offers a modern-day version of these gatherings, a place where the community can connect over shared experiences, just as the Favres once intended.

When I come to Geneva for vacation I usually stop by to eat or drink something. But today (08/30) I said to myself never again: I ask an employee (light eyes, 1m65 tall max, who thinks he's a handsome guy) for a glass of rosé. Not being able to leave 2CHF for the glass (because I was on the other side of the park) I asked him kindly if he could give it to me in a cardboard glass and there he gave me at least 3 thoughts like for example: “ah but wine in a goblet is not good”, “ah yes it’s true that everyone doesn’t care about ecology”, he said that to me in a very haughty and disrespectful way ! But who does he think he is? I pay for a rosé and someone takes the liberty of lecturing me in a completely inappropriate and insolent way! Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Thank you for your message. Although it is true that we cannot serve rosé in paper glasses, it is not normal that this has been communicated in this way. We have spoken to the server in question and sincerely apologize for this interaction. Come back quickly ! The next rosé is free!
