5 minutes from the thermal baths of Lavey-les-Bains, a welcoming restaurant which offers Valais specialties. Food and drinks: The winegrower fondue (house specialty) and unlimited homemade fries were appetizing but we really fell in love with the Edelweiss fondue! Friendly and qualitative! A nice local wine list. Service: 5 Location: 5

Most horrible first experience of my life. We had reserved the lodge's restaurant for 9 p.m. We arrived 15 minutes late. I contacted the establishment to let me know and a lady replied “ok, no worries”. When we arrived at the restaurant, the staff made us pay for being late. We were placed at a table next to a boiling radiator (which could not be turned down). So I asked to change places and the waitress replied "yes, no problem". Once placed at the other table the boss complains and says that in addition to the fact that we arrive late we want to change places that it's nonsense. This makes us very uncomfortable. In addition to that we take a menu with the fondue vigneron as a starter there is a salad with a terrine. We just ask to serve only one plate of salad for my partner because he is intolerant to pork. The waitress tells us yes, no problem and she brings back 2 plates with the pork terrines. She doesn't apologize or even ask to change the plate. While waiting for the dish we go outside to smoke a cigarette the boss comes to see us and tells us on the other hand it's not going to be possible to smoke we close at 11 p.m. you have to hurry to eat otherwise at 11 p.m. the police will arrive (there are written 11:45 p.m. for their Saturday schedule). This is too much for us so we decide to calmly explain to them that we feel very uncomfortable. The owner gets angry, shouts at us and says "leave now, go immediately and find another room for the night, I don't want customers like you in my accommodation"
