Complimenti per tutto!! Ottimo il cibo,splendido il vino,giusto il prezzo,bellissimo il locale,e ciliegina sulla torta il servizio complimenti alla Greta. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: €50–60

Pappardelle al cinghiale solo sufficiente con abbondante olio. Filetto chiesto “cotto” é stato servito semicrudo (sangue rosso al taglio) ed insipido. Assurdo pagare 7,0€ una bottiglietta piccola di Menabrea. Ecco perché manca una lista delle bevande. C’è di molto meglio nel borgo! Do not go here. You’ll see there are plenty of excellent reviews (very “surprisingly”) and plenty of extremely poor ones, the latter being the more accurate. My wife, 10 year-old son and I arrived at our reservation time of 19:30 and were served our chosen starters (which were average, at best) and drinks relatively quickly. The waiting staff were very nice. However, we then waited 30 minutes before politely asking how much longer it would be before the main arrived. Again, the table-servers were nice, polite and apologetic. Coincidentally, a thunderstorm was overhead nearby and my son was nervous because, being from Ireland where they are extremely rare, he had not experienced one before. A waiter told us we could go inside “if it started raining” It started raining and so we went inside only to be berated by a very rude, animated manageress/chef who insisted the inside was ‘closed’, despite there being lots of free tables, albeit undressed. (From outside, I had seen noted her earlier outrageously lambasting a younger member of staff so I was aware she was “a piece of work”). Thankfully, they had auto-shelters which they activated and we went back out. At 20:45, my wife’s tagliatelle arrived (which she said was just average) and 5 minutes later, one more meal arrived which was incorrect. My son and I had ordered the Grilled Cut Beef but a Mixed Grill was presented. Had the manageress been clever, she could’ve got us to accept that (and presumably the second Mixed Grill on the way) with a bit of diplomacy e.g. an apology / drink on the house or equivalent but diplomacy and customer service are not things this ‘manageress’ had ever heard of before, clearly. Instead, she called the waitress who had taken our order over to our table, got me (like Judas!) to confirm it was she and uncerimoniously tore strings out of her right there in front of us. After about 5 more minutes, I approached her outside and asked for a quiet word. She brought me inside to a small room where other customers were standing, waiting. I explained politely, as feedback, that the girl had made a simple mistake and, if she wanted to give out to her, she should really do it in private and I also said, even the wait of 45 minutes for my wife to get her (correct) order was too long. Instead of an acceptance of both these facts, she got very animated and vocal, saying [quote-unquote] that waiting 1 or 1.5 hours for the main is “normal” and that, because we’re on holidays we should not be in a hurry!!! I replied that it is far from normal and that 2 nights earlier, we ate in Enoteca Tognoni and the wait between courses was around 15-20 minutes which is normal. With that she exploded! She screamed “Stand up and leave, Go, Go!”. Madness I offerred to pay for what we’d consumed up to that point (about €75 euros worth) but because she was so furious and out of control, she just said “No, just get out!”. Missed opportunity! The best part (if you could say that!) was that only my wife was hungry really and she got her meal!!! Thanks for the Anti-pasta, the brushetta, the tagliatelle and the wine, Osteria Enoteca La Bolgherese Price per person: €1–10 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
