Disappointing Experience at La Arepera I visited La Arepera to pick up a Too Good To Go order, for which I had already paid 5.90 CHF. Upon arrival, I was asked if I had a container. When I mentioned I didn't, the staff member insisted I pay extra for a container, which I couldn't do as I had no additional cash on me. After some back-and-forth, she offered me to put the food into a carton where the rolls were stored for printing bills. This paper is concerogene in the first place and the carton itself was no appropriate food container and would have produced a mess. I then suggested she could use a plastic bag. She was clearly frustrated, treating me like an inconvenience rather than a paying customer. Despite the fact I had already paid, she claimed she was "working for free" to fulfill my order, which was quite untrue and very unprofessional. If she does not t The food I received was disappointing to say the least – just black beans and two small areperas, no meat or substantial ingredients included and the portion size was very small. For the quality and quantity, it certainly wasn’t worth 5.90 CHF. I felt like the Too Good To Go concept was being misused, as this seemed like low-cost food prepared to make a profit rather than save edible leftovers. Moreover, I noticed hygiene issues. The staff member handled money with gloves on and even sneezed while wearing them. To top it off, when another customer arrived, I was told to wait while they were served first, making me feel like a second-class customer just because my order was from Too Good To Go. Overall, I left feeling disappointed and undervalued. Unfortunately, it seems La Arepa views Too Good To Go orders as a way to offload cheap, poorly prepared food rather than truly embracing the idea of reducing food waste. I wouldn’t recommend this experience to anyone. Service: Takeaway Meal type: Lunch Price per person: CHF 1–10
