During the Christmas holidays, I received a Wonderbox voucher for the Oscar restaurant and decided to call to make a reservation, explaining that I had a Wonderbox voucher. When I arrived with my girlfriend, our waitress was cold and unwelcoming. The beginnings of a beautiful evening. A long wait followed after our respective orders. Once the dishes arrived, they were good and somewhat attenuated our feelings about this establishment. As soon as the addition is made, things get complicated. My girlfriend takes out our Wonderbox voucher and the waitress's blood rushes. We had to announce it from the start (I called and announced in advance. Why didn't I note myself as a customer with a Wonderbox in the reservation?). Our orders included dishes that were not deductible by the Wonderbox voucher. That we were wrong is one thing, but that the waitress speaks to us in a condescending and moralizing tone is simply unacceptable. (All this for a Wonderbox voucher not presented at the start of the meal and a bill of around a hundred francs). We needed to know the conditions of use of the voucher according to her. She then accused me of lying by saying that the voucher was a gift. According to her, I had bought it myself to use it. It is well known that people who want to go to a restaurant buy a voucher for that restaurant in question in order to only be able to choose certain dishes rather than going directly to that restaurant to choose as they wish from the menu and pay with money. money Why not tell me on the phone when booking that we were only entitled to tartares with the Wonderbox voucher and nothing else? Was it to prevent me from canceling my reservation and forcing me to end up on site faced with a fait accompli? I regret the eighty kilometers traveled to this establishment. The waitress tells me that the establishment receives around a hundred telephone calls every week (the 5th element, at Fribourgeois, the Osteria and the Wok Palais Royal in PLS) and that it is impossible for her to inform customers of what they are entitled when they have a Wonderbox (A Wonderbox can only be used to deduct a tartare on the menu and nothing else). It’s true that having someone on the line tell them that they are only entitled to a tartare with their Wonderbox voucher is physically impossible. Breathing and saying 4-5 words to someone who owns a Wonderbox and wants to make a reservation is indeed a feat. In catering, the customer is king and under no circumstances should staff speak to customers with such disdain. Finally, the waitress went to see her boss who validated the Wonderbox voucher without any problem even though it was presented at the end of the meal. Why get on your high horse and talk to people as if they were schoolchildren, especially since this is not the first time that the problem of customers ordering dishes not deducted by the Wonderbox voucher has arisen? A whole mess and countless harsh and inappropriate remarks for a good Wonderbox story. No one should finish a meal in a restaurant feeling like they have been humiliated by the staff. I do not recommend this establishment specifically because of this waitress who has more than 10 years of experience and who should know that being polite, warm and understanding is the bare minimum when working in the restaurant business.
