From your account, it seems there were several misunderstandings during the ordering process, and unfortunately they appear to have influenced the way the entire visit was perceived.Regarding the water and the side dish, if the wrong water was initially brought or a dish arrived with an accompaniment you had specifically asked not to have, these are situations that should simply have been corrected, which is what was done. We regret that the corrections themselves were perceived as rude, but we do not believe the whole experience reflect any intention to disregard your requests.We would also like to clarify the question of pricing. All of our food and drinks, including the different types of water, are clearly listed on our menu with their prices before ordering. There are no hidden expenses or unexpected additions to the bill. Every guest therefore has the opportunity to look at the menu, see the prices, and decide whether our style of dining and pricing suits them before placing an order.As for the food, we appreciate that despite your concerns about the size and price, you found your meal quite good. Portions and prices are determined according to the individual dish, its ingredients and preparation, as well as the overall concept and location of our traditional konoba in the historic heart of Zadar.We are sorry to hear that you subsequently felt unwell. However, a stomach problem occurring after a meal does not by itself establish that the food was responsible, as there can be many possible causes. We take the quality and preparation of our food seriously and would always encourage a guest who feels unwell during their visit to speak to us immediately so that we can understand the situation and assist where possible.Finally, tipping is entirely at the guest’s discretion. It is never a condition of receiving our service, and no guest is obliged to leave a tip.We are sorry that several small misunderstandings combined to create such a negative impression. We believe, however, that it is important to distinguish between an unfortunate service interaction and the suggestion that there were hidden costs or an intention to mislead. Our menu is transparent, our prices are available before ordering, and guests are free to decide whether our concept is right for them.Best regards
