Pesce Fantastico. Non si può dare meno. Materia prima eccellente. Calamari ai ferri che non mangiavo così buoni da una Vita. Ottimo scampi. Posto all’interno di IZ posto che reputo una “perla” in Croazia. Se andate a IZ non fatevi attrarre dai locali sulla darsena: andate da Rajko. Non ve ne pentirete.

Great restaurant with high quality and cheap food. The Konoba Rajko is located in the first row of houses behind the port of Veli Iz near the church. The path leads through a narrow alley, past another barbecue restaurant. Walking past is rewarded with delicious food and nice people. The landlady serves herself, is very friendly and speaks German. Today we wanted Cevapcici and looked for a place that offers them. Even though cevapcici weren't on the menu, it wasn't a problem to order them. A double portion of cevapcici on a large meat platter with cutlet, breaded schnitzel, ražnjići (meat skewers), French fries, ajvar, djuvec rice and onion. We ordered mixed salads and chard with potatoes. Anchovies and bread were served as amuse-gueule. The meat platter was huge and tasty. Simply recommended if someone is looking for a typical Croatian dish. The food tasted even better with local red and cool white wine. The crowning finale was pancakes with jam, chocolate, nuts or wine shatou. Simply delicate. Between the four of us and including all special requests and the tip, we just paid 600 kuna, or around 80 euros. Rajko is also known for fish and seafood as well as steaks. Great prices and highly recommended!
