Here we write our impressions and experiences with Konoba Ante. On Saturday, we called and asked if there was room and if we could make a reservation for eight on Sunday at 2:00 p.m., to which we were told that it was possible, we also asked if there would be lamb and veal, and if we needed a reservation for such dishes at what has been said must be everything, said excellent. We came on Sunday at 14:00, said we had a reservation and were directed to a table that was definitely not enough for 8 adults because the chairs were literally next to each other. Fortunately, a table for two next to us became available within a few minutes, so the waitress added that table to us so that we could sit down normally. We ordered drinks and looked at the menu. We decided on the soup first, as they have 4 soups on offer, we took the beef and one of the mushrooms and one of the tomatoes, but the young waiter who served us came to the table in a few minutes and said that there was no tomato and mushroom soup. but only beef, and a few minutes before that, the table next to us got tomato and mushroom soup as well, we don't have any, they said ok, give us all beef, but my son didn't want it, so he took Bruschetta with tomato and garlic pesto as written in maps. His let's call it bruschetta arrived, and we haven't had our soups yet, with the fact that the bruschetta was bread with diced tomatoes and a bunch of diced onions, drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled with dry parsley, pesto ni p, so after he ate part of the bruschetta left on the plate a good handful of onions, so minus number 2 that day, but ok let's move on. The soups came when the bruschetta was already eaten, they asked us if everything was ok, I said let's say, but this is not what is written on the ticket, the waitress said to call the boss, a gentleman came and asked what the problem was, to which I said that this there is no tomato and garlic pesto on the bruschetta, but here and there some tomatoes and a bunch of onions on the bread, to which he said that he would not charge for it and that he would mention it in the kitchen and warn them of that mistake, and he got away with saying that everyone came to 14:00, and booked at 13:00, so that everyone sat down at once, and with the two of us, one ate soup while the other was leaving. We continued to eat the soup, which was nice, a little salty for some, but there is no arguing about tastes. A young gentleman came to let us order the next dish because most of us had almost eaten the soup, and we had agreed on everything, so that it would be prepared while we finished eating. We ordered veal Zagrebački twice with pomes, two mixed meats with pomes, two hangers with house potatoes (potatoes with bacon and cheese) and veal under the oven and lamb on a spit with baker's potatoes, four cabbage salads, two mixed and onions with mixed meat and lamb/veal. After a few minutes, a young gentleman comes and says there is no coleslaw, do we want another one, to which we all laughed and told him to tell us which one he has so we know, there is a mixed one, so that is fine, some gave up. The difficulties do not end there. We have to admit that the wait for the food took a long time. They gave salads for two people in one bowl without our agreement. The food for the table arrives in a drop of water, first the Zagrebački, then the mixed meat, as we were already hungry and began to eat slowly so that it does not get cold until the rest arrives, we notice that the Zagrebački is made of chicken, not veal as it says on the menu, a hanger arrives, but not with house potatoes but with bakery potatoes as they call it, there is no bacon or cheese, we say it's chicken Zagrebački and it's not a side dish that should be with the hanger, I go to the bar so as not to argue in front of others, the rest of the dish comes to the table, The owner comes out, who, upon my remarks, starts an argument with the waiters and puts the blame on them, arrogantly and rudely says that they pick up everything from the table, that we don't have to eat if we don't want to, to which I reply, and he disappears into the kitchen, commenting that he has 40 years of experience, so then, it should look better after so much experience, not poorly seasoned food and for those who don't eat salty, bakery cooked, not baked, salad cut into very large pieces, not to mention broken plates and dust deposits in the bar . They didn't charge us for those meals, but they ruined our family lunch. After all, the owner comes with an excuse that the waiters are young and inexperienced, sad! Never again! Thank you.
