The Club, Bogovićeva ul. 7, 10000, Donji Grad, Zagreb, Hrvatska Ladies and Gentlemen, Today, for a change of pace, I would like to share some information with you—specifically, a story about my experience yesterday evening, Saturday, May 24, 2026. Yesterday, I decided to unwind a little and visited a night club in Zagreb called "The Club." The evening began wonderfully. Practically all the tables in the club were reserved, and only a few remained free. I took a spot at one of these unreserved tables, ordered a glass of wine, and was thoroughly enjoying the club's atmosphere. It is worth noting that smoking is strictly prohibited inside the establishment. To ensure that my table would not be occupied by others while I was away—since it was not formally reserved—I left my glass of wine and my jacket on it and stepped outside the club for a brief smoke. When I returned approximately five minutes later, four young people were standing at my table, and both my jacket and glass of wine were gone. When I asked them what they were doing there and where my belongings were, they replied that the club staff had escorted them to this table. They claimed they had no knowledge of my belongings and advised me to inquire at the reception desk. I went to the reception and politely explained the situation. The receptionist replied that she knew nothing about it and directed me to check with the cloakroom reception. I approached the cloakroom desk and, once again, politely explained my situation. The staff member began questioning me about where I had been, what kind of jacket it was, and insisted that such an incident was impossible. At that moment, I noticed my jacket hanging right behind the desk on a metal bar, tossed there carelessly like a rag. Incensed by this, I pointed it out to the worker, stating that it was my jacket and that I simply wished to retrieve it. I added that given this level of service, I was going home, and requested that they just return my property. Instead of handing it back, she continued to spin confusing stories in circles. Faced with this, I took the following action: completely calmly, without any shouting or arguing, I walked over, picked up my jacket, and turned around to leave the venue. At that exact moment, a security guard grabbed me by the arm. The only thing I managed to say was "Excuse me," and before I could utter another word or offer any explanation, a barrage of blows began raining down on my head and face. To demonstrate that I had done nothing wrong and carried absolutely no aggressive intent, I immediately raised both hands in the air and remained completely still. Despite my passive stance and raised hands, the assault did not stop; instead, someone else joined from behind, striking me on the head. Although I stood there without showing any reaction and with my hands up, having done nothing unlawful, this severe beating continued uninterrupted for about two minutes. Only after the guards had fully satisfied their desire to use me as a human punching bag did one of them finally ask: "Why did you come in and take this jacket?" Now, the question remains: shouldn't the security guard have asked me that question first? Was it truly necessary for two guards to subject me to a two-minute barrage of blows to the head and face, especially considering that I had committed no illegal acts, displayed no aggression, and did not even attempt to defend myself during the attack, choosing instead to stand perfectly still with my hands raised? After it ended, I simply said to them, "Thank you, goodbye," and walked away. What do you think, friends? Is it worth spending your leisure time in a venue where security guards behave like mindless savages? For reference, the title of this publication contains the exact name and address of this establishment. Thank you for your attention. Price per person: €20–25 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
