Metto tre stelle per l’ignoranza della ragazza che ha servito il nostro tavolo. Abbiamo chiesto un pezzo di pane e non l’ha portato anche se passava sempre vicino al nostro tavolo. Nemmeno a chiedere una scusa alla fine, quando abbiamo pagato. Food: 4 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €30–40

we visited ristorante kalaverde a few weeks ago because we were staying nearby and really wanted to have pizza while in italy. we were a group of nine and had made a reservation two or three days in advance. when we arrived, we had come a little early for dinner and the restaurant was still quite empty. unfortunately, we were seated inside at a table right next to the terrace, where one of the blinds wasn’t working. it was noticeably warm at our table, and the fans didn’t really provide much air circulation. we asked if it would be possible to sit outside, but were told that the outdoor tables were already reserved. later in the evening, more guests arrived and some of them did sit outside, so we understood why the tables had been kept available. still, we were a little surprised that there wasn’t another option for our group of nine, especially since we had reserved in advance. the seating itself was fine, but it would have been nice to have a slightly more comfortable and better-ventilated spot. the pizza itself was not bad. during our visit, there wasn’t much choice when it came to seafood (but we got told in advance, when making the reservation, that there‘s not gonna be seafood), apart from a pizza with prawns. i hadn’t noticed that this particular pizza came without tomato sauce, so it was a little too cheesy and greasy for my taste and unfortunately somewhat dry. the prawns were served with the heads still attached, which was a little unusual for a pizza. removing them was easy enough, but unfortunately some liquid came out and ended up on the pizza, which had quite a bitter taste and affected the overall flavour for me. we also had tiramisu for dessert, which was tasty and a nice way to finish the meal. overall, it was a decent experience and the food was generally good, but there were a few small things that kept it from being a particularly memorable italian dinner for us.
