Piccolo chiosco nei pressi della stazione. Siccome italiano ho preso un espresso, buonissimo. Il gestore serve un ottimo caffè accompagnato da acqua e cioccolatino. Super consigliato. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

My friend & I had just finished a lovely walk down from Uetliberg (23.6.23) and as we passed by the Uitikon-Waldegg train station, saw that there was a little coffee shop tucked away in the station's waiting area. Kafi Offen is truly a delightful surprise! Excellent coffee, (we both had a macchiato) which was served with little chocolates and a glass of water, as in all true coffee shops. We were informed that the coffee beans are specially sourced by Mr Pino Gaudio. We also had a tasty Gipfeli each, which was warmed up for us. The lady running the coffee shop, Ms. Katharina Hofstetter, was super friendly, and even served my Indian guest some complimentary Swiss biscuits to try. (She also runs a fleamarket business and can be contacted at the number shown in one of my attached photos.) All in all, well worth a visit, especially if taking a walk in the area or on the Uetliberg. Meal type: Other Price per person: CHF 1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: There are cakes and fruit pie slices, along with gipfeli/buns to eat.
