Johann Franck is much more than just a restaurant – it's a place where you can truly feel the history and atmosphere of Zagreb. Located right on the city's Main Square, it is one of those rare venues that is worth visiting even if you only stop for a coffee. What I loved most was how the history of the place is woven into the entire experience. Old photographs, historical notes, and stories about the venue appear throughout the restaurant, even on the menus and table napkins. As someone who enjoys places with a story behind them, I found this incredibly charming and engaging. The terrace offers a wonderful view of the square and is perfect for people-watching while soaking up the atmosphere of the city. The interior is stylish and spacious, blending historical character with modern comfort. The food is also very good. Everything we tried was well-prepared and enjoyable. It may not be the most budget-friendly place in Zagreb, but you're paying for much more than just a meal – you're paying for the location, the atmosphere, and a unique piece of the city's history. Overall, Johann Franck is one of those places that helps you connect with the spirit of Zagreb. Whether you come for breakfast, dinner, or simply a coffee on the terrace, it's an experience worth having. Price per person: €15–20
