Aperitivo d’alta quota. A 2560 metri, sulla montagna Jakobshorn a Davos Platz. Ci si arriva in funivia, si trova immerso fra le piste da scii. Qui ti puoi fermare per un pasto veloce durante una pausa dallo scii, oppure godere delle belle giornate di sole, rilassato sulle sedia a sdraio, sorseggiando birra. Una cosa interessante di questo posto è che c’è la possibilità di ordinare e pagare con lo smartphone seguendo le istruzioni che si trovano sul tavolo (con un codice Qr). Questo è un posto dove rilassare il corpo e lo spirito, ammirando i panorami innevati che lo circondano.

Jatzhütte is one of the most iconic mountain huts in Davos, perfectly located right at the top of Jakobshorn. I visited during the winter season after a great morning on the slopes. The panoramic views from the large outdoor terrace are absolutely spectacular, with sweeping views over Davos and the surrounding alpine peaks. I ordered a classic bratwurst with rösti — simple, perfectly grilled, and full of flavor — exactly what you want after skiing. The atmosphere is energetic but relaxed, with a fun après-ski vibe starting already from lunchtime. The staff were friendly and very efficient, handling the busy crowd professionally while keeping service quick and smooth. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: CHF 50–60 Vegetarian options: The menu offers several vegetarian options such as cheese rösti, vegetable soup, fresh salads, and cheese platters with regional products. While the choice is naturally more limited compared to a full-service restaurant, vegetarians can still enjoy hearty and flavorful mountain food that fits the alpine setting. Dietary restrictions: Jatzhütte has some flexibility in accommodating dietary restrictions, but given its mountain hut nature and fast-paced service, options for vegan or gluten-free guests are more limited. However, staff do their best to adjust side dishes and remove ingredients when possible if dietary needs are mentioned early. Parking space: Difficult to find parking Parking options: Parking is unavailable Parking: There is no direct parking at Jatzhütte as it sits at the top of Jakobshorn. Access is via the Jakobshorn cable car, which departs from Davos Platz and brings visitors up directly. The cable car is efficient, and the ride itself is part of the experience, offering spectacular views of Davos along the way. Kid-friendliness: Jatzhütte is very family-friendly, with plenty of space both indoors and on the large outdoor terrace. Children can enjoy simple, classic Swiss mountain meals like fries, sausages, and pasta. The casual, energetic vibe makes it easy for families to relax while taking a break from skiing or hiking. Wheelchair accessibility: Accessibility is somewhat limited due to its mountaintop location and terrain. The cable car is wheelchair accessible, but navigating the snow-covered areas around the hut may require assistance. During summer, accessibility improves, but still depends on weather and path conditions. It’s recommended to contact the Jakobshorn cable car team in advance for support.
