Mangiato benissimo in un locale molto caratteristico che definirei anche bello. QualitĆ del cibo oltre la media, prezzi alti ma rapportati. Da non mancare. We had an FANTASTIC experience here. We happened upon this restaurant and its affiliates accidentally. We were passing through Galatina to see the Basilica. It was past lunch and we were starving and the only place open on the square was the Fienile CafĆ©. They are typically closed on Tuesdays, but lucky for us and others they werenāt on this particular day. We were able to get a charcuterie board of local products and Chef Paolo even made us the most delicious bread. Did I mention this was supposed to be their day off?He and his family were sitting down to a late lunch and they were so very kind and generous with us, plus we got a tour of the restaurant and the very special touches they brought to it. The back garden is beautiful and if you want to be seated there, definitely make a reservation. We came back the next night for dinner at the Il Fienile Ristorante and were not disappointed. It was DELICIOUS. Chef and his partner took GREAT care of us that evening too. They guided us in selecting typical local dishes (wonderfully prepared by chef and his team) and each plate was paired with wonderful local wine too. I meant to take photos of each course but when we received the antipasto plate, it was all so good I forgot to take pictures until we got to dessert. Make a reservation here. You wonāt be disappointed! Chef Paolo is a world class chef- how lucky for us to experience his cuisine - and the generous hospitality shown by his wonderful partner made for an unforgettable evening.
