We visited Trieste for just one day and were looking for a place to try real Italian pizza. But we had to continue our trip and went further to the town of Muggia. There we were not disappointed, because we discovered Ristorante Il Bilaterale, which turned out to be the best choice of the whole trip. ChatGPT actually pointed us to this place, and it really was the right decision. We ordered a Parmigiana pizza, and it was the best pizza we have ever tried in Italy. Honestly, pizza in Italy often feels too simple, but here it surprised us with its taste and elegant look. Along with the order they brought us two small sandwiches with fish pâté as a free starter, and also a whole bag of fresh bread, which was very generous and tasty. We also tried a soup, which was just average, maybe 6 out of 10, but everything else was a perfect 10. So if you are traveling in this region, even if you are staying in Trieste, it is absolutely worth coming to Muggia just for this restaurant.
