They are so incredibly friendly! The food is great: chefs choice is one of my favourites for sure, but all I’ve had has been super quality. Highly recommend! Price per person: CHF 50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Ichiban178 is a sushi restaurant located in Küsnacht. It is very small and is decently far away from the main roads, so it's usually not very busy. The inside is beautifully decorated with traditional Japanese art, and even the sign listing today’s specials is in Japanese! It is a relatively small restaurant, but it makes up for it in every other aspect. The food tastes amazing and is the closest you’ll ever get to authentic, fresh Japanese food in Switzerland. They offer a variety of food, including amazing maki, some of the freshest sashimi I’ve ever had, nigiri, and traditional Japanese soups! The food not only tastes amazing, it looks amazing too! The food is presented beautifully, with some meals even being served on smoking dry ice or a small model Japanese boat! The staff is very friendly and will do their best to cater to your every need. The menus are presented on tablets, and the wait time for food is short. To my knowledge, there are 4 different locations, but I personally have only been to the one in Küsnacht. They also support takeaway and online ordering. All in all, I would give this restaurant a 4.8 out of 5-star rating. If I had to describe it in three words, I would say it’s a hidden gem. N. J.
