Locale con dheor fresco, vista porticciolo turistico. Ottime cozze e pesce al forno. Vino dell'Elba, ansonica. Non è economico ma per qualità e accoglienza hai comunque l'impressione di aver speso giusto. Service: Dine in Price per person: €50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We went to I Sassi Rossi a few days ago and were very satisfied with the cuisine (the Calamarata with scallops, the tuna tataki and the caponata were particularly excellent). We return before departure specifically to eat again the 3 dishes that we liked so much. Really embarrassing experience. After 50 minutes of ordering, different first courses were brought to us. When we say it's not what we ordered they tell us that the scallop calamarata isn't available today. (And why not say it right away?) Let's make a second, different order. And they add that the chef was ill. For goodness' sake, we're sorry. These are things that can happen, but they also need to be managed. After a while, 3 plates of calamarata unexpectedly arrive, but not the one with the scallops we had eaten the previous time. The tataki and caponata were not bad, but nothing like what we had tasted the previous time. Upon payment of the bill, another mockery. The young lady, very happy, says to me: did you see that in the end we did the calamarata? I tell her that it is not the one we ordered and for which they had returned specifically. The answer? But today we don't have scallops, and we have changed the menu... which is not true, as per the menu displayed. I avoid answering, and inside I wonder how I can reverse a very positive first experience by telling and doing a bunch of nonsense, one in a row. 4 days ago, I would have advised you to definitely go. Now I say... no. It's a shame that I won't recommend I Sassi Rossi even in my blog, which is what I intended to do after the beautiful first experience. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch
