Horizon 1904 Restaurant. The restaurant is very popular. It's best to book in advance. All the dishes are very well prepared. I recommend the spicy chicken, dumplings, and nems.

I needed a last minute room and as a returner customer, I booked a room at the hotel. I checked in at 20.40h, and I was told the spa was closing at 21, and therefore I asked if I could use it the day after, which they informed I could. While l wanted to keep my room until the end of the spa time, they informed me this would add an extra cost of 85CHF, which I declined, I checked out at 1pm, and then the receptionist Valerie told me I wasn't eligible to use the spa anymore. The conversation was in English, and she was talking to her manager, in French, saying that she was very clear with me the night before and that I was not right. Unfortunately, she didn't know that I could also understand French, which made the conversation VERY unprofessional. I explained again to her manager what was the deal I was informed, and they didn't care at all. If I wanted to use the SPA, I had to pay the extra fee no. matter what. No matter how many time I had been here in the past, no matter the conversation I had the day before. All in all, very disrespectful and 0 empathy towards the customer. I would definitely not recommend this hotel anymore, just because of the service... A pity, but to me this is essential.

We recently stayed at Viu Villars Hotel and had a pleasant overall experience. The room was comfortable and clean, offering everything we needed for a good night’s rest. While the design was quite plain and simple, it served its purpose well. Breakfast was on the basic side, with limited variety, but it was sufficient for a light start to the day. The standout, however, was the Chinese restaurant on-site — the food was flavorful and well-prepared, making it a great option for dinner without needing to venture out. Location is perfect for skiing as the train station is just 5 minutes walk.
