We have always accommodated guests in the Hotel Residence Loren. Unfortunately we will book another hotel in Uster for this in the future. On one day, no “daily housekeeping” was carried out, only the cloths were replaced. We therefore told our guests that, to be on the safe side, they should place the door hanger with “Room Cleaning” near the door. Unfortunately, this didn't work either. This time, however, nothing was done, not even the cloths that were on the floor were replaced. We had to call the emergency number at 10:00 p.m. and ask them to bring fresh towels to our guests. According to the manager, the door hanger was on the floor and the hotel probably took the creative freedom to interpret this in the hotel's favor (please do not disturb). We received compensation of 15 CHF. We viewed this as inadequate compensation (twice no cleaning, 1x even no towels replaced even though they were lying on the floor) and therefore complained again. The managing director then gave a very amusing answer that, according to the “video camera recordings” and the employee, this was not true. So, strictly speaking, the accusation that we and our guests are lying?! No thanks: We have accommodated our guests in another hotel for the remainder of their stay. By the way, another funny statement (email) from the manager: “... Considering the fact that the towels are usually not changed every day...”.
