I have stayed in 10 different hotels now over the past 10 days during my motorcycle tour. This was my 2nd hotel on the list and it was one of my favorite hotels. The toilet and shower not separated from the room was honestly a bit weird and I wouldn't appreciate it if I was sharing the room with another person. But by myself, it was okay. Either way, the hotel had a lot of charm and was very cozy overlooking the picturesque Swiss mountains. The man at the reception who was also the waiter was very pleasant and friendly. I know one of the other reviewers felt he was cold, but it didn't feel that way to me. And the restaurant was open when I went even though it says closed on Mondays. And the food was amazing as well. Overall, it was definitely a great stay and Splugen was a very pretty town. Like I said the only downside was the lack of separation between the toilet/shower and room.
